Let's cut corners - If Google can, so can we...

Google has a new and updated Material Design Document and this time they have something new, cut corners. Despite how it sounds, they are not really cutting any corners but the effect is that instead of rounding the corners to what we are so accustomed to, now there is a 45 degree cut. This is what the effect looks like and re-creating it in iOS is a matter of a couple of lines of code.



I might create this and put it on GitHub and if you want to give it a try prior to that, it's not that difficult. It is similar to the rounded rectangle.
